A family clinic with a pharmacy next door, where prescriptions and test results went missing between rooms
The work
The clinic has good doctors and a careful pharmacist. A prescription written in one room and filled in another, a test result waiting in someone else’s inbox: that was where patients slipped through.
Where it gets hard
- Appointments live in one book and visit notes in another
- The pharmacy hears about a prescription when the patient walks in
- Reception spends the morning chasing results and call-backs
What running it in one place changes
- Bookings, visit notes and prescriptions sit in the same record
- The pharmacy sees a prescription as soon as it is written
- Each person sees what their role needs, and nothing more
