Advertising Policy
The rules for ads on Intersink: who can advertise, what we check before a campaign runs, what is never allowed, how clicks are charged, what we do with data, and what happens when an ad breaks the rules.
1. Who can advertise
Any business on Intersink can promote its own channels from Ads Manager in its business panel, like a page in other ads managers. You can promote only a channel your business owns, and an ad can only link to that channel’s own web addresses.
2. Every campaign is reviewed
- Before a campaign runs, our team checks its ads and the page they link to against this policy, the Acceptable Use Policy and the law.
- We may approve it, ask for changes, or refuse it, always with a reason. We may call you or ask for evidence for a claim.
- Changing what an ad says or who sees it sends a running campaign back to review. Budget, bid and dates change at once.
- We may suspend a running campaign at any time if it breaks this policy, with a reason; you can appeal once under the enforcement policy.
3. Honest ads
- Ads must be truthful, not misleading, and match the page they link to: the same product, price, offer and conditions. In the UK they must follow the CAP Code enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority.
- Say who you are: ads show your channel’s name. Do not pretend to be another business, a person or Intersink.
- Prices must be the real total price, or say clearly what is extra. Time-limited offers must be genuine.
- Claims about health, money or results need evidence you can show us.
4. Never allowed
- Anything illegal, and everything the Acceptable Use Policy forbids.
- Weapons, drugs, tobacco and vaping products, adult content, and dating or escort services.
- Get-rich-quick schemes, payday loans, unregulated investments, crypto-asset promotions that do not meet the law where shown, and anything that asks for payment details up front.
- Shocking, sensational or discriminatory content, and ads that exploit fear or personal hardship.
- Ads aimed at children under 18 for anything age-restricted.
5. Restricted (allowed only with permission and the right licences)
- Alcohol (only to adults, where legal), gambling (licensed operators, where legal), financial services (in the UK, financial promotions must be approved by an FCA-authorised firm), medicines and health products, and political or social-issue ads.
- We may ask for your licence or authorisation before approving these, and may limit the countries where they run.
6. Where ads appear and why
Ads never appear inside the Intersink panel or on the Intersink website. They appear on partner platforms (websites and apps that joined the Ad Partner Program, with our own products listed first) in slots marked "Sponsored" with the advertiser’s name. You choose the platforms (or all of them) and the countries.
Who sees an ad depends only on the platform, the country and the bids of the campaigns competing for the slot. We do not use personal data, special category data or profiling to decide who sees an ad.
7. The Ad Library
Every ad that has run, or runs now, is public in the Ad Library: its words, its image, when it started and ended, the platforms and the countries, under the advertiser’s name. Drafts and refused ads are not shown.
8. Data
- Advertisers see results in aggregate only: impressions, clicks, click rate and spend, per ad and per day. We never give advertisers the identity of the people who saw or clicked an ad.
- When someone clicks, they arrive on your channel; what happens there is under your own privacy notice.
9. Paying for ads
- You set a daily budget and the highest you will pay for a click. You pay only for clicks, at most your highest bid, and never more than your daily budget in a day. Impressions are free.
- Repeat clicks from the same visitor on the same ad on the same day, and clicks we judge invalid (automated, accidental or fraudulent), are not charged.
- Each day’s spend is added to your business’s monthly invoice. Minimums: a daily budget of £1.00 (US$1.25) and a bid of £0.10 (US$0.12) per click.
- If you think clicks were charged wrongly, tell us within 30 days of the invoice; we check and credit any invalid ones.
- If your business’s billing is suspended for an unpaid invoice, your campaigns stop showing until it is paid.
10. Ending
You can pause or archive a campaign at any time; it stops showing within minutes. Clicks before that remain due. If we end your access to ads, we tell you why and how to appeal.
