Acceptable Use Policy
What you must not do on Intersink, whether you use it as a person, a business, a channel operator or a developer. Breaking it can lead to the decisions described in the enforcement policy.
1. Illegal and harmful content
- Anything illegal in the UK or where you or your audience are, including content the UK Online Safety Act 2023 treats as priority illegal content: terrorism, child sexual exploitation and abuse, threats, harassment and stalking, hate offences, fraud, sale of illegal drugs, weapons or firearms, people smuggling and human trafficking, sexual exploitation, encouraging suicide or self-harm, intimate images shared without consent, and extreme pornography.
- Anything that sexualises children, in any form, including drawn or generated images. We report it to the relevant authorities (in the UK, the Internet Watch Foundation and the National Crime Agency; in the US, NCMEC).
- Content that incites violence or glorifies violent attacks.
2. Fraud and deception
- Scams, phishing, fake prizes, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, fake reviews, fake engagement, and misleading claims about goods, services, prices or availability.
- Pretending to be another person, business or authority, or to be Intersink.
- Misleading health claims, including claims that a product treats or cures a disease unless the law allows it.
- Taking payment without intending to deliver, or hiding material terms.
3. People and their rights
- Harassing, bullying, threatening or abusing anyone; doxxing (publishing someone’s private information to harm them).
- Discriminating unlawfully against anyone, including in who you serve or employ.
- Infringing copyright, trademarks or other rights; selling counterfeit goods.
- Processing personal data unlawfully, sending marketing without consent where it is required (PECR, CAN-SPAM, and similar laws), or buying and selling personal data.
4. Restricted goods and services
You must not sell or promote, unless the law allows it and you hold every licence needed and comply with age checks: alcohol, tobacco and vaping products, medicines, gambling, financial or investment services, weapons and their parts, adult content, and regulated professional services. Some of these are not allowed on Intersink at all; the Community rules list them.
5. Security and integrity of Intersink
- Accessing accounts, data or systems you are not allowed to; probing, scanning or testing vulnerabilities outside our responsible disclosure programme.
- Malware, spam, denial-of-service, or anything that overloads or degrades Intersink.
- Scraping, crawling or harvesting Intersink or its users’ data by any means other than the official API with an approved project.
- Getting around limits, reviews, suspensions, sign-up rules, rate limits, scopes or domain restrictions; creating accounts to evade a decision.
- Reverse engineering Intersink, except as the law expressly allows.
6. The platform itself
- Using Intersink, its API or its data to build, train or offer a competing platform, a copy of Intersink, or a white-label service that resells Intersink functions to others.
- Giving anyone access to the Intersink API other than through an approved project of your own (see the API Policy).
- Selling, renting or transferring accounts, profiles, channels, keys or access.
7. Reporting a breach
Use Report on any account, profile, business or channel, or the report page. For legal requests (data rights, police, courts, copyright), use the channel’s legal request form.
