Create and rotate API keys
Give your own software access to a channel, and replace a key safely.

- Open API and webhooks
In the channel, open Admin, then API and webhooks.
- Create a key
Choose Create a key, then Create a test key while you build, or Create a live server key when you are ready. Copy it straight away.
- Rotate a key
Choose Rotate on its row. The new key is shown once, and the old one keeps working for 24 hours so you can swap it over.
- Revoke a key
Choose Revoke. It stops working immediately.
- Watch your calls
Recent calls shows the last 24 hours of requests, with status and time taken.
Tips
A key is shown once. If you lose it, rotate it. We cannot show it again, and that is the point.
Test keys never touch real money. A server key can do everything your role can.
