Receive events with webhooks
Have the channel tell your systems when something happens, such as a new order.
Where:
ChannelAdminWebhooksBefore you start
- An HTTPS address on your server that can receive the events.
Steps
- Open Webhooks
In the channel, open Admin, then Webhooks, and choose Add endpoint.
- Add your endpoint
Enter the Endpoint URL (it must start with https://), pick the Events you need, and add a Description.
- Save with a test
Choose Send a test and save. The endpoint is saved with its signing secret.
- Check deliveries
Recent deliveries shows each event, the response and the attempt number. Choose Replay to send one again, or Payload to see what was sent.
Tips
Every webhook is signed. Check the signature before you trust the body.
Failed deliveries are retried for 24 hours with backoff, then kept for 7 days so you can replay them. An endpoint is never silently disabled.
Subscribe narrowly. Every extra event is more code for you to ignore.
