Save your recovery codes
Ten single-use codes that get you in when you cannot use your phone or passkeys.

- Open Recovery codes
Open Security, then Recovery codes.
- Confirm it is you
Anyone with these codes can get past 2-step verification, so choose Confirm and use your passkey or password first.
- Keep them offline
Choose Download .txt, Print or Copy all. Keep them somewhere offline, printed or in a password manager.
- Use one when you need it
On the 2-step screen, choose Recovery code under try another way and type one in. Each code works once.
- Make new ones
Choose Make new codes when you are running low. Making new codes cancels all the old ones.
Tips
The Security checkup counts recovery codes as done while you have 3 or more unused.
